About the Author
Hillary is the mother of Madilyn, who has been blind since birth. She married Jacob Kleck in 2010 before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas. Hillary and her family now live in the Greater Boston area where she is a parent advocate for children with visual impairments through her work with Sensory Sun Educational Technologies in which she develops accessible educational apps for blind children, and the co-founding of the nonprofit organization, We Perceive, Inc. which serves to promote accessibility in all areas of children’s lives. She has held the positions of volunteer, parent member and President of the Arkansas Chapter of NAPVI and is now involved with the Massachusetts Chapter of MAPVI. Hillary also serves as a Member of the Corporation, Technology Committee and Great Expectations Program Advisor for National Braille Press.
Hillary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Hillary, as well as her husband Jacob, are self-proclaimed foodies, and are enjoying taste-testing their way around New England. Hillary also has a deep love for music of many genres including artists Garth Brooks (with a lifelong dream to meet him), Imagine Dragons, Frank Sinatra and Jack Johnson- just to name a few. She's loves watching football and baseball (Go Razorbacks!) and spends Saturdays cheering on Madilyn as she plays Miracle League Baseball in the spring and fall every year. Jacob & Hillary are expecting a baby boy in December, while Madilyn is more excited than anyone about being a big sister!
